Charming. I sent your blog address to by son via Skype – he is presently doing 3D character design & modeling..
The first thing this shot reminded me of was clown school. A past student of mine is in a drama program at university. Recently they got clown training and the assignment required them creating a clown character, makeup &costume.. They had to stay in clown gear and character for a full day. Riding on a bus home attracted lots of smiles and small children; chemistry; chemistry class was a bit of a challenge.
I really like your smile in this one, too, S.E…
something about it almost reminds me of a jester in a way…
kind of like only you know the real inside-story behind a story you’re sharing with your audience…
(if that makes any sense)
Oh yeah, I remember them and that cover. Now I need to go and find a cd version. They were so cool, weren’t they?
Thanks so much for dropping in and leaving comments. Big hug.
I knew that there was face painting amongst African tribes, and that white is used but not about it (sometimes?) being used for initiation ritual.
Australian aborigines use white too.
Your lips are so shiny! Is that lipstick or paint?
Paint. I prefer matt lipstick on the rare occasion that I wesr it.
like that smile!
Charming.

Yeah, Robert, I think I know what you mean.
That bright red goes so well with a matt white face
Not so good that much of that shiny red ended up in my mouth! Non toxic paint though so it didn’t really matter.
I’m really liking the smiling end to this series!
I was saving it up, HMH! There are a few more which I might eventually post but I’ve not decided.
So when are you reforming the slits, reminds me of that great album cover, of them in mud.

I love the painted lips.
Did you know that tribes in S Africa paint themselves white as part of initiation ceremonies.
Sorry, Dolce, I missed this one before.
