And also she should ditch that red cape thing, dress in camoflage and learn some Ninja stealth if she’s going wandering in the woods alone at night. And never, ever say ‘Is there anybody out there?’.
Oh! That set off a string of memories and associations. Angela Lansbury always reminds me of my late darling grandmother, Dorothy, Doff, Nanny.
I don’t remember her in that film though. I saw it at my boss’s house on a preview video when I was working at a repertory cinema in the days before video had really taken off. I was disappointed in it because I’m a big fan of Angela Carter and It didn’t live up to my high expectations.
So, what did Angela Lansbury advise?
Perfect combination. I can almost see the wolf lurking in the shadows.
🙂 I quite like wolves. . . And ‘sometimes good guys don’t wear white’.
Well done ! Check out Broadway Into the Woods – Hello, Little Girl .
Thank you!
I don’t think she’ll answer you, Joseph. She’s strayed from the path but I don’t think she’s talking to strangers.
Beware of windfall apples and men whose eyebrows meet!

That’s true… And listen to Angela Lansbury in the Company of Wolves!

“You’re everything that a big bad wolf would want…”

This song is my current ear worm. Along with ‘Violet’ by Hole.
I’ve always really liked Hole…
‘Malibu’ is one of my favorites, as well…
great video, too (I love the burning palms…)
🙂
‘Live Through This’ remains my favourite album of theirs.
Seems to me like you are always on the right ‘track’ S.E.!
