Welcome, Madame Weebles! I was thinking, recently, that I’d like to make some more so I could wear them all around the base of my bun but unfortunately I have no more eyeballs!
I had one other like this and I put it in a whitish fabric rose that was part of an assemblage called Mandala. Two layers of 12 fabric leaves each ringed that and the whole thing mounted in a squat square wooden frame.
Oh thank you, Madame Weebles. I think they would look interesting and pretty and make me laugh too. Most people frown when I mention or wear such things.
It makes me think of the Marc Almond song Melancholy Rose
Can we play Tainted Love instead?
It makes me think ‘contemporary Giuseppe Arcimboldo-esque’ …
with stylish S.E. upgrades!
🙂
His work is so clever. Nah, this is just a plastic eyeball in a fabric rose. I do like it very much, though. Sometimes I wear it in my hair. 🙂
My mistress’ eyes are nothing like the sun;
– Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith territory
Well done ! better not tell George. 😀
Thanks very much, Joseph. I really must read some H. P. Lovecraft soon. You’ve got me all curious.
Hang on, who is this Clark Ashton Smith dude?
wow, great! your works are growing a lot, the’re getting everyday more intersting!
That’s a good thing to hear! Thanks very much, LF. 🙂
I would pay big money for a bouquet of these.

That sounds gorgeous! Too bad you ran out of eyeballs, though, that would have made a fantastic bun ornament.
