Thank you, Karen. I haven’t read that one yet. I have piles of books about the place so that I always have a good selection to choose from when I finish one. Reading and making images are two of my favourite things to do.
Well, photo and eyes have found their afficionados. I wonder, though, why I am the first to write this is a lovely, very erotic and imaginative Tanka? Love it, Ashley.
Thank you, Sean, much appreciated. 🙂
I thought of a number of possible reasons: It is not my usual fare in form nor content, it might be a bit of a surprise for regular visitors. it is a bad poem, nobody read it, it is ‘too primal’, whatever, whatever, whatever.
I like it, image with tanka, as one piece. 🙂
Hmmm… “To push, press, wrangle and meld”
A debatable pleasure
All depends on context, I think.
Great photo, with smiling eyes and a good book. Michael Ondaatje rocks!
I’ve been smiling a lot lately. Hooray!
I like Michael Ondaatje, but I confess I’ve not yet read “The Cat’s Table”.
I think my favourite so far is “Running in the Family”.
As M.D. has noted smiling eyes, indeed, S.E!
They’re practically dancing!
🙂
But Robert, that’s in part due to the shaky hand effect. 😉
Your eyes are very expressive
I believe so. 🙂
I love this
Thanks Nursie, I thought you might like it. 🙂
Excellent self portrait. And that is a very good book!
