Sandra 3011-06122012

I saw this delightful woman when waiting for a bus.

She was so well colour co-ordinated, from the top of her head to the tips of her toes that I thought I might risk asking her if I may take her photo.

This time I adjusted the settings on my camera phone before asking, which was just as well because I only took one shot before the battery ran out.

I was a bit sorry when my bus came as I would have liked to talk to her for a bit longer.

See what a lovely, gentle face she has?

I couldn’t resist making a black and white version of Sandra’s portrait; I tend to prefer black and white for a portrait.

Do you prefer one over the other?

And thank you, Sandra, for letting me do this, and also for the chat. 🙂

Great capture! So wonderful you asked to take her portrait. I love her face! I, too, usually prefer B & W for portraits, but I like the color version better here. Without the color, we’d be missing a part of who Sandra IS, I think, or at least a big part of how she expresses herself.

Color really does show-off her personality (wardrobe, etc.),
but I’m so fond of B/W… and in this case I find it really focuses ‘attention’ on her face (color is so powerful I can be a bit distracted by it and loose touch of other important things… probably just me, though).

What do you think?
