Thank you! I hadn’t considered entering but I will. Consider, that is. I’ve seen some exceptionally beautiful still lifes on line recently – Marcelo Leonard and Anisja.
Have you seen the film, “An Angel at My Table”? It’s about Janet Frame and was directed by Jane Campion. Shoes are a powerful symbol in the film and taking off shoes can signify leaving an old life, stepping out of a role that no longer satisfies.
I love the way the shoes in your photo are turned sole to sole and overlapping only slightly.
I have seen it Mrs Daffodil, and I remember liking it but I don’t remember many details. These shoes are from the same lane as in Someone’s Bedroom’ and Camouflage’.
I’ll be in the vicinity tomorrow so I’m going to take another look.

That’s a very generous appraisal, Mark. Thank you.
Excellent.
Thanks, Rabirius.

As always I love the placement / composition, S.E…
I think it’s pretty cool how that fifth ‘drip’ is ‘pointing’ to the five ellipsis, too…
🙂
I think composition is my forte, Robert. I’m certainly no master of light.
I agree with Mark’s ‘less is more’ statement – powerful work
Thank you, Katrien. 🙂
