Fish Face ii (2012)

…
I’m borrowing an eye from old fish face up there for my new avatar.
I did so like my doll’s eye avatar but it’s time for a change.
I might even start up another blog.
Don’t hold your breath though.

I think if I had to hang around that fish for long, I would hold my breath!
Ha ha!
Now that Brian mentions pie, I realise your gravatar reminds me of stargazy pie. In all the best ways.
What’s a stargazy pie, ehpem?
One of the things that I like about blogging is all the things one can learn from people living elsewhere. 🙂
I learned about stargazy pie from a delightful children’s story The Mousehole Cat which my kids loved. It is a Cornish recipe, a pie made with pilchards with their heads, and their eyes, sticking out of the top of the pie. Gazing at the stars. Mr. Google has some fine examples via an image search:)
Off I go to google. 🙂
That reminds me, I’ve got a fisherman’s pie in the fridge.
Is it in safe keeping for the fisherman or did you nick it, Brian?
No, I bought it from Marks and Spencers.
I see. So Marks and Spencer stole the man’s pie then Tsk!
A fisherman’s pie is a particular dish, so called because it’s like a shepherd’s pie only made from fish rather than lamb. (I thought an explanation was perhaps required.)
I was just teasing, Brian. 🙂
Hope you continue with this blog too 🙂
Like the nye eye 😉
*new*
I’ll definitely be continuing with this blog, Malin. The new one, if it eventuates, will be a little side project, less about my work, more about things I find interesting.
Okey – sounds interesting 🙂
We’ll see. 🙂
….now you know why I refer to you as Delightfully Twisted. 🙂
Ha! There was never any doubt in my mind as to why you would describe me so, my dear.
I may point out that I was just witness to this fish, it was someone else’s dinner.
Last time I posted this I learnt from a commenter that the cheeks of a Snapper are the sweetest part, that the head is generally kind of crunchy and that the eyes can also be eaten but they are tasteless. Not my idea of a delicious meal but to each their own.
After dinner comment: “Pardon me, but I can not take my eyes off your smile.”
Isn’t that fish’s mouth scary?
Great compositions.
On a Scale of one to ten , the fish eye-con is very effective on “Creepy Spooky”. 😀
Well, I figured a few years of the cutesy doll’s eye was plenty of the ‘lovely nice’. 🙂
I had been meaning to mention your new avatar earlier! A ‘new’ S.E. classic!
(If you decide to start that other project please let me know, S.E… I would hate to miss it!)
🙂
I certainly will let you know, Robert. 🙂
I’ve been doing tests with themes and not much else so far.
Thank you, Joseph! 🙂
“Creepy Spooky Lovely Nice”
: )
I’ll agree just so long as I don’t have to eat it!
This one is just fishing for a com(pli)ment. : )
🙂
