I don’t know. I got a lot of advises. And I did it all. I had 6 cacti at a time. I was so proud. I nearly counted the water by the drops. I gave them sun and shadow. I talked to them, praising each one. Yet, at one point they stopped growing, brownished and broke down by pieces. I simply don’t have a green thumb except with herbs.
Ashley Looks like a hard candy to me!!!
I hope you mean a boiled sugar confection!
Love the colours
Thank you. For the most part I prefer muted or neutral colours, but every so often I do something like this.
I would not be tempted to roll this in my mouth, but it stands sharply tall and healthy. I always kill a cactus before it reaches that stage.
But Claude! How do you manage that? They’re so resilient!

I truly admire this photo!
Claude: “Yet, at one point they stopped growing, brownished and broke down by pieces. ” That line is a bit of marvelous poetry.
I think they might have needed a few more drops of water. They go all soggy when they’re over watered.
Another great photo. Your work is very inspiring.
That’s one of the nicest things a creative person can hear said about their work. Thank you, so much, Daniel. 🙂
I love these blue cacti! Whyever can’t we color our cactus blue?
It’s simple, George: just use your phone’s camera and apply an app effect or two.
🙂
Very cool!
I thought you might like this one, John.
