It is an interesting way to present a photo, almost a colleague feel
That piece of street art is very unusual: the oval shape is actually a mirror mounted on a board. I see what you mean about this shot looking like a collage.
Beautiful shot, Ashley.
Thanks, Richard. I have more to post from that lane.
Where do you find these fabulous walls and such? I am sure I walk by such shots all the time. Great shot!!
I live in a low income area (albeit with touches of gentrifiction) where much is decrepit. Back lanes anywhere are interesting to me too, much less attention is paid to the back of both houses and shops. This lane is actually a couple of suburbs away from mine though.
This image seems an excellent choice for a monochrome. Good composition!
Thanks, John. I’m really pleased that you think so. π
Yes, beautiful. All those textures and shapes juggling the eye.
Thank you for all these kind and thoughtful comments that you’ve left for me. It cheers me up and encourages me. Thank you! Thank you!
Intriguing photo.
We don’t have many back lanes here. There are a lot of them in Vancouver and I used to find them fascinating when we lived there (long ago). They didn’t have names, though. “Esther Lane” sounds like it would be a pretty place.
One of my best friends at school in England was called Esther. I think it’s a lovely name, probably in part because I associate it with her.
Excellent ~ a shoe in for Esther Lane – does it adjoin Γ¦ther Park ?
No, it’s on soap road. π
Your post has contributed inspiration to my madness. π
