I did some black and white film photography when I was at college 1979-1981 (it was a graphic design degree that I didn’t finish, hi ho) and I don’t miss all that fussing about with chemicals in the slightest. I LOVE digital photography! I’m glad this prompted good memories for you, though. π
You could well be right. My photography tutor was very traditional and boring, actually. I loved Diane Arbus and he just found her work shocking! But there were many subsequent years of little creative expression. These days, it’s just about every day that I produce something, mostly photographic but not always.
I think each day is special and reserved for creativity. My teacher was unconventional, encouraged a lot of pot and drug experimentation. It was 1971. Life was an adventure.
Great shots in this seriesβ¦the kind of wedding photography I would do, much to the dislike of the bride and bridegroom, which is why I don’t shoot weddings π
Your wedding series is great! It’s almost like you are an uninvited guest skulking around trying to catch pictures on the sly. I am reminded of the game Clue for some reason! π
The print is very 1970s for me. It reminds me of making my own prints, the chemical smells and working in the darkroom. Thank you.

Ah, the smell of fixer in the morning…
Glad you didn’t finish, because your artwork is probably better for it.

Haha! Sounds good!
Oh, it was. It was a “magical mystery tour”.

Yes, indeed! π
Another great shot – brilliant moment and very cinematic.
Thank you! π
Very nice (and I have seen those legs before).
Yes you have.
Yes more cinematic stillness. Catching a moment that depicts time, place and mind/emotion. Excellent. π
Thank you, Joseph. I’m very pleased with this one. π

Ha haha!
I like Barry’s observation and your interest in Arbus is very apparent here.
Oh! Thank you! π
