Why not submit this to Broken Light Collective and/or others? We miss you. We haven’t seen you in quite a while!
Hi, Danielle! π Nice to see you here. I’ll send you an email soon.
Quite dramatic Ashley, and yet oddly tranquil too – interesting!
Thanks, Harriod. I like your description. I’m quite taken with the blur plus grain thing at the moment – I like the atmosphere it creates (plus it’s good for hiding all sorts of things such as wrinkles! π ) To me this looks like me and doesn’t look like me at the same time.
It certainly is atmospheric, Ashley. As to what ‘looks like me’, then I’ve never yet seen a photo of myself that does – only my reflection in a mirror does that, because of course, that is all I can ever know as a real-time image of me. But apparently, it’s all tied up with the psychology of (self) perception too, and something weird happens in our brain when we look in a mirror in real-time.
That’s interesting. Kind of how we’re so often blind as to how we and others see our actual self.
Looking forward to that
Me too, SOL! Thank you. π
You are such a gentle soul.
Oh, Barry, what a nice thing to say. I try to be that way but I have quite a temper at times.
So freakin’ excited for the new blog! Great pic for a bio too! π
I’m so pleased to be a part of it, Tony. Glad you like the piccie. π
so intriguing with the blur π
lookin forward to the new blog π
Thank you, Alexandra. I’m so pleased that you’re posting again, by the way.
The new blog is called Hijacked Amygdala and starts on Monday. My turn on Wednesday. π
Oh Ashley, I adore this!
To me it exudes intelligence and a lovely, gentle humour.
More collaboration, how wonderful! I feel a bit like I’ve had my head stuck in the sand – I should really work on extracting it!
: )
Well, that comment is a lovely one!
Yes, I have my fingers in a lot of (vegan) pies at the moment. I’ve only just got around to rebooting ‘strata of the self’. I really like collaborations – ones I’m involved in and otherwise. It would be very nice to see more posts from you – I’ve missed them.
A familiar feeling. Great work as always, my friend.
Thank you, Malin. x β€ x
Gotta love that grain
I like it too.
