Apparently yesterday, the 17th, was Black Cat Appreciation Day. Black cats in shelters don’t get adopted very easily, mostly due to the superstitious beĺief that they bring bad luck. Big groan over here…
Click here for my post for the week on Hijacked Amygdala.
These are often perverse effects of Religions, which are causing … !!!
Yes. And she’s my familiar and I’m a witch with a wart on the end of my pointy nose and I have toad smoothies for breakfast every morning. I’m a vegan so vegan toads. Haha!
Snap! Another vegan toad here, with a tofu wart on the end of my nose, and a glossy black cat as my smoothie-supping familiar! (although for the record, Marcel is struggling with veganism as a concept and keeps bringing me ‘presents’. Mouse intestines anyone?) 😉
Hey! Wanna start a coven? Travelling to the other side of the world shouldn’t be a problem, because broomsticks!
Yes, but if the ugly witch kisses the toad it will turn into a princess … !!!
Haha!
Black dogs often get passed over as well.
But they’re so damn beautiful! I read somewhere that apart from the superstition thing people don’t find black cats attractive because it’s harder to see their faces (same with the dogs, I guess) and the area of thin hair in front of their ears is more noticeable in black cats. Pff!
Oh, and I guess Winston Churchill and his black dog of depression havn’t done much good for the black dogs of the world.
My kitty is black. He is tiny and lovable. His name is: Eddie Lee, also known on the street as Fast Eddie.
I just call him Eddie.
Lovely! 🐾❤🐾
Gorgeous image. It looks like a fine art print.
Thank you, Mrs Daffodil. That’s a lovely compliment.
