Between Scarlett and Guest (My Side of the Story 19th November 2016 – 8th February 2017)
Richard Guest and I have a blog called Between Scarlett and Guest.
It’s a conversation in images.
We each reply to the last image the other has posted.
What follows (in no particular order because I’ve set the gallery to a random display) are my responses from 19th November 2016 – 8th February 2017 .
Click on any image and the gallery will open, enabling a better view of each image.

these really are fantastic even as a monologue! great stuff, Ashley.
Thank you, Peter. ☺
I don’t comment here very often but I hope you know that I thoroughly enjoy both sides of this conversation.
That’s good to hear. Thanks very much, Ken. 😀
Excellent. 🙂
Many thanks, Joseph. 🙂
Once again I am amazed at your versatility. These are beautiful. A catch all word because I can’t think of enough others. Xo
Thank you so much, Claudia. You gave me a big smile. x o x
There is so much work here. Are you a full time artist, Ashley?
A lot of these come from my archives. I’m ‘retired’. I’m a pensioner so I do have a lot of time. I still have trouble referring to myself as an artist, though other people do. ☺
You know, I’ve always thought that the description “artist” should be something that is bestowed rather than something one takes for oneself. I’m always suspicious of people who introduce themselves as artists, rather than as a painter, photographer or printmaker for example. I think you friends and I are right to call you an artist and that you are right to be bashful about it. If you get what I mean!? 😊😊
Oh, that’s so nice! Thank you. I feel both appreciated and understood! x o x
😄
I love how abstract this has become…
I hadn’t noticed but I like it too. 😀
Terrific images and concept!
Thank you! And welcome. 🙂
