do you know her work with the band les reines prochaines? i actually don’t but i know their fantastic cover version of chris isaac’s wicked game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0p4uUAoRzs
No, I donβt but I followed your link and then remembered that Wicked Game (which I love) was playing non stop in one area of the exhibition. I suspect it was the same people but a different recording. Hard to imagine the squeaky shout bits being done by more than one group! It made me laugh at the gallery. It was playing over a projection pointed at a corner – two big squares worth floor to ceiling. Lovely soft carpet to sit on. Writing this I think I might go again!
I’ve promised myself to go to more exhibitions this year. I really like them and if I go on weekdays there are fewer people so Iβm much less likely to get all anxious in a crowd. βΊ
It is an interesting experience. I am posting a bit of my stuff, blog links, images & micropoetry/haiku. Shoot off a few puns and quips on various topics. Have selected mostly twitter feeds relating to art, photography &culture/history. Found a few interesting political & science feeds as well. It has also connected me to some bloggers, which is nice. Richard has been posting some of your visual conversation. π
Have only stepped into a bit of a fray inadvertently – got sworn at, accused of being a condescending privileged anti-feminist anti-gay male. Quickly learned how to Block someone who assumes they know you & your motives, then responds with personal directed profanity. π
Also learned how to identify Bots & Trolls. π
Blimey, Joseph! It sounds like a nightmare to me! I can’t imagine what you could possibly have said to get called all those horrible names! I’ll stick to Instagram for my secondary platform.
Only one person β the rest are fine. I have noticed that that you more quickly acquire followers who are interested in selling service or products. Similar to those bloggers who will show up following/liking posts to increase their online presence.
Check my twitter feed, it does have some pretty pictures & silly pop culture bits. π
Her name was Kanga and she was trouble. She came into my office as I was about to dip into a honeypot. I liked honey the way priests love God. "You are Pooh? The detective?" she said. "I live under the name of Sanders. What's it to you?" "My boy," she said. "Roo. He's missing."
That’s good! π
I was at an exhibition by Pipilotti Rist. It was so good and such fun! It was also my birthday and I was there with my best friend.
those are three very good reasons to smile! pipilotti rist is great!
