This reminds me of the stairs in the house Jim grew up in that twisted down to the basement which was where we did all the canning and I slid down the last three stairs on my well padded posterior while carrying a canner that contained one dozen clean quart jars and I did not break my neck or any of the jars!
After I went through that quick mental movie, I settled in to enjoy the image: the curve, the contrast of colors, the way the stairs are almost Escher-like in their slow progression from wide to steep. The tiny touch of green in the corner balances the red expanse, some how.
