Oh, there you are, Andrew! What have you done with your blogs?!
I’m really so glad you like this one because I’m allowing myself to feel quite proud of it. That usually means it will not be popular. Ha!
Thank you, thank you!
Re: “What have you done with your blogs?!”: Due to a very positive change in work strategies and priorities my blog just carries details and links for my books and a few photos nowadays. All the old posts and comments still exist in storage, but I don’t expect to be going back to regular blogging again, just adding new books and changing the photos from time to time. Will still be visiting (and the more I look at this current image the better it becomes. Unique.)
neither a Plough . A meaningful image you made dear Ashley . May I comment politely and only for my interest that I miss the eyes somewhat more exposed? But maybe that is due to web imaging. Nevertheless your image is expressing a lot. This is why I offer you my comment and press the like-button.
It’s not just the web version – the eye doesn’t have a lot of detail. I didn’t actually plan it that way but I do like it that way.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments, Bart, they are appreciated.
Dear Ashely , I do still remind the first time I replied, I called you `Lily’ and you punished me 🙂 . And you were correct. it was 2 or 3 years ago 😉 I do not press ‘like’ if I am not giving a comment why I am doing this. I do not fully understand sometimes the others admires of your work. I think ,I learn here the language of all superlatives. On the other hand ,Andrew comment Is something nice to appreciate your work of Art. I will be selective in the future to follow those who appreciate criticism and comments. I believe strongly that this is enhancing once work as an Artist. Therefore dear Ashley , do you accept comments and interactions which are not in the language of superlatives. I have a doubt an I don’t wanna be impolite because i really appreciate your work for a long time. let me know , cheers Bart
I punished you?!!
Bart, I enjoy your comments and your critiques and of course I accept comments that don’t contain superlatives. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Be at ease here, Bart. And thanks again. 🙂
A very good one. I read a comment about the eyes maybe not defined enough (and I respect that opinion) but I just want to say (without going to the superlatives’ market) that the pictures I like the most from you are, well, the less defined ones. Maybe that’s because of my painter’s background, but the ones that suggest more than show are the ones I tend to like more. Just another opinion… 😉
Beautiful thought, beautiful done.
I am a camel, a horse, a tree, a sea, a cloud, a lake, a rock, a little bit of you, a little bit of every book I have read, of every painting or picture I have seen, a little bit of everything around me all blended into a infinite complexity that makes me so similar but yet so different from the other.
No your not. Beauty is not to behold but held by all to see. Your work is great. Pafooie a camel or a horse. Not
Thank you, Sheldon, you’re so encouraging to me and I appreciate it very much. I’m really pleased with this one. 🙂
Impressive!
Thank you, Harrie! I really like this one, I tried something a little different.
Usually my own favourites aren’t very popular. We’ll see. 🙂
One of your best
Somewhat of the Michelangelo painting about it
Somewhat of the morgue
Somewhat of the mystical
Somewhat disturbing
Very nice

Well that sounds good, Andrew. I’m glad you’re not disappearing altogether from the blogosphere.
Be very proud – a powerful and beautiful image and the tones are, as Andrew said, reminiscent of the morgue, the Renaissance.
Oh, thank you, Chris! Thank you! I really appreciate that. 🙂
Love the way the greens are bleeding into teal. For me, this one goes into that elite group of your best verticals.
Oh, thank you, John. 🙂
Amazingly mystic photo, really like this one, Ashley, you can be proud 😉
Greetings,
Ron
Thanks, Ron, much appreciated. 🙂

This is great: the composition, the colors, the texture… Very intense
Thank you. Montse, I’m very pleased with this one. 🙂
Wonderful! One of my favourites – a really careful balancing act – and I really like the tension.
Thank you, Richard, thank you! It’s one of my favourites too. 🙂
Profoundly sensitive…
Thank you, Claude! 😀
I’m in love with this one!
Great work, Ash!!
Thanks so much, Malin!

I think I prefer my less defined ones too. Thanks for the thoughtful comment, Ben. 🙂
Definitely has a Renaissance quality to the pose & lines. 🙂
Not a camel or a horse,
See the power of a creative soul
Staying the course.
Thanks Joseph. I’m very happy with the response to this one, especially since I thought no one was going to like it. 🙂

Thank you, Marcelo. And I understand what you’re saying. All in one and one in all.
Incredible.
Believe it, Daniel. 🙂
This one took my breath away. So tender and full of humanity.
Thanks so much, Mrs Daffodil. It’s good to ‘see’ you, by the, way. 🙂
This is remarkable, Ashley. Part stone, part painting, part soul.
Thanks for that comment, Karen, I’m rather fond of this. Quite often I’m bored with my own images quickly, but not this one.
